hi im not asking for any pc assustance, just need sum1 to talk too and cheering up ive spent all my free time tyring to catch some fun and trying to get dos /win98 working correctly on my pc, its been a complete and utter failure and experienced every kind of problem and got around it and went smack back into another problem after problem after problem as if for some fate reason it wasnt meant to happen it was a mere impossibility and everything that could go wrong DID including a major problem with my 250gb hdd that ended up with a fat table damage and finally died when i threw it at the wall and now my life (videos, audio, backup, software etc) is completely distroyed i look forward to a reply from sum1 whos been in this situation or those of u who know me from here
well dude, i've definitely felt that way before. I've haven't really had that bad of a hardware issue, granted back in the day my computer used to hate life and it was a constant struggle to make it spin. Anyways, this might not be what you want but, its hardware, and software, all that stuff can be replaced. I mean it could have been something way worse. Here is another way of looking at this. Now you have something to look forward to, tomorrow you can wake up and be like ok one day closer to getting whatever back, or finding all my stuff again. Alright, feel free to comment, i'll be back.
hello swansen thanks for your reply i took the 250gb hdd out of the bin today and looked at it for damage, there's no sign of physical dammage but it still doesnt spin-up. the most damamge its done is destroyed my photos, latest movies and a complete backup of my favourate tv program star trek - completely distroyed. this star trek was a copy of what i sold as a box-set, i sold it coz ive got very little for xmas pressys so made a backup of it just this week and left it another day they would be on DVD safe how typical is that. the only good thing that can happen now is the music & movies piracy agency coming knocking on my door coz they wont find owt now, keep me free from them for future piracy (ahem, im joking!!!!!!) what i hve i done :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh:
ill give it a try why not it needs to fix all 2 problems (power failure and head-missalignment) lets hope it fixes the boot sector too
Damn Dwarfer/Newpaws, that sucks. But hey, whatever doesn't kill u makes u stronger lol. I'm sure u'll need a new HD even if u can scounge up some data from it, but after u get one I'm sure u can get that stupid comp to work. And Swansen is right that u could lose much worse things. And plus, u can now have some fun shopping for a brand new HD... well, for me at least, shopping for new hardware in general is kinda fun.
