Well, the blasted 2004 campaign is finally over, thank gawd. John Kerry has thankfully decided to concede and save us a load of court proceedings. Bush will be leading the US for the next four years. CNN is just one of many news sources that has the details.
:swear: :swear: lousy :swear: rotten :swear: war starting :swear: homophobic tax raising lousy :swear: liar and a thief!
I'm glad we can say the election is over. I can't tell you how much most of us Americans were dreading another recout a-la Florida. Oh, and here's a pic to go with the thread.
F9/11 was pretty much disproven by the 9/11 Commissions report. You have to understand that Moore is an extreme leftist who utterly dispises anyone remotely conservative. While I didn't vote for Bush, Moore is an irrelevant, disgruntled fat b@stard, who has lied in his previous films. F911 is not a documentary, but a propoganda piece. Moore is a socialist, who wants to step on the US Constitution with his fat @$$. He's part of a very fringe group of extreme left-wingers who do not represent the values of most Americans. I have no problems with questioning. I do have a problem with someone blatantly making stuff up that is not true. Moore also doesn't have an apparent clue about how the US works. Congress, which includes Senator Kerry and Senator Edwards, has to approve laws, much like (as I understand it) your Parliamnet does in the UK. Bush is not King George Dubya, and has not acted like it. Now, he definitely is a figurehead and does have power to veto bills, but even then, Congress can pass the bill into law IF there's enough votes for it. Moore, and on the campaign of Sen. Kerry, does not remind people of this and blames everything on Bush. Powell has stated he won't run, but we'll see in the 2008 elections. I'm going to bet that Hillary Clinton will now run in 2008, but we'll see.
I didn't even bother to see 9/11 after some of my friends saw it, they said that Moore just made an ass of himself and f-'ed himself into oblivion. I think hillary clinton would make a good president
the guy who should've won didn't have a chance...Nader is smarter than both of them put together and has proven he's not afraid to take on the big corporations or anyone else...but he's too much of a consumer advocate to be taken seriously as anything else! he pigeoned-holed himself into that lone category so well that he can't be anything else!...and half the time he walks around like cosmo kramer like he just got out of bed...but the guy's real smart...and he'd do a hell of a job cleaning things up...but he's not going to get the chance
