    Hello all,

I am interested in displaying a Google Map on my living room wall. I have been searching around and I think that I found a cheap solution to my issue. I found cheap laptops on ebay and I would like to remove the original laptop screen and install a larger screen on the laptop. I am curious if this is possible. Will power requirements be different for the larger screen? What about the onboard video card supporting a larger size monitor?

Why don't you just remove the current laptop screen and connect the new screen through VGA? like using a large monitor/TV?.... Failing that if you really want to use a laptop screen then providing you get one with the same connections it shouldn't be an issue.

    Cheers Dave :)
