ok, as you may of seen from another thread i am having a little problem with one of my hard drive partitions, now what i want to do is get all the data out of the damaged hard drive partition, as i have used a program that was able to browser the damaged partition but not recover data. is there any FREE data recovery program out there that i can use to copy all the data in the damaged hard drive partition and then copy it into a folder or somthing in another partition?
its not finding anything, its like just as if its browsing through my computer and i go in the drive as its re appeard not i put a drive letter on and renamed it, and in the partition all there is is 1 file saying download, and it says access denied when i try to enter it, i know all the data is in there as another program could find it and use the data in there, but its like this recover my files app cant see past the front cover, if you know what i mean.
Yeah, i know what your talking about but i've never used that program or any recovery program for that matter. I have just 'heard' it was good! Sorry, i can't help you here.
hmm, do you know if there is any that is free and can copy files, which will like just copy the actual partition, as this program you reccomended splits everyhitng and there is loads more stuff than i thought i had, it splits files aswell!, is there any that just shows the damaged partition as if oyu just browsing thorugh my computer and then allows oyu to copy and paste stuff?
Not any i know of off the top of my head. I did have one like that some years back but i think it was discontinued. I'll see if i can find it!
