As you may remember the last time I ordered components and tried building a PC for my friend I was swamped with defective components and ruined the month of October for myself. Well anyway the RMA process is complete and he finally has all the money back in his Dad's account so we ordered again last night. It all went we'll untill we encountered a disturbing glitch where the processing screen hung and looped forever, after closing the window after an hour ready to call tech support I checked the status screen just for the heck of it and what do you know, it showed right up as a processed order. Crazy but all seems good now. Anyway...What we kept for the last endevor: Gigabyte Neon Cooler 8-BL CTL flatscreen CRT 17" Logitech Internet Keyboard/mouse combo Creative Modem Logitech X-230 Speakers (sweetness!) Athlon 3200+ Proc What we just ordered: Rosewill Black tooless classy case of sorts--$45 Lite-On Black Dual-layer DVD burner, retail--$39 Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 120GB HDD--$83 Corsair value select 2x512 kit (playing it safe)--$73 ABIT KN8 NF4 Ultra mobo--$105 OCZ Modstream 450wt PSU--$89 ($69 after rebates) ASUS X850Pro vid card, kick ass! We scoped it all out and origionally started with an X800GT (when his budget was small), and then to an X800GTO, then X800Pro, then 6800GS, then X850XT (fan looked to huge and loud for our taste and the price was a tad high though $256 is crazily good just the same), and finally concluded that the X850Pro was the best bet and offered great OC potential. Wish me luck
Thanks man, , yeah this place is like my online bible. Speaking of which we should all put our minds together and draft one out.
Heh, the Gospel According to HWF: 1. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours PC. etc...etc... Anyway, Ex you know we're here if anything goes wrong...again. I don't think it should and that's quite a nice system he'll have there...:good:
