Hey everyone, is there anyway I can move some songs from Windows media player to iTunes? Do I just convert them to mp3 (where do I do that?) and then move them. Let me know if/how, thanks, much appreciated.
To convert them to mp3, you first have to change your "Importing" settings in preferences, to MP3. Then right click all the songs you want to convert and it will say "Convert Selection to MP3", as opposed to AAC or whatever was there before.
That's what I've got it set as in iTunes but I can't just move my wma files from MediaPlayer to iTunes, do I need soem annoying plugin that cost money just to convert my wma's to mp3! Thanks dude.
If you go "File>>Add File To Library", and then go to the *wmas, it should come up with a message saying "Do you want iTunes to convert the selection to WMA?".
Sorry but I don't really know where my wma files are located, should there be a folder that contains all my wma files somewhere? But thanks Waffles.
Should be in 'My Music' or C:\Documents And Settings\Your Name\My Documents\My Music\ That is if you have Windows XP
if you like your music I would suggest making a seperate partition for it under windows. That way when your windows poops all over your face you just reinstall it along with your other programs and you've still got your music stored neatly
Thanks, I found the files I wanted but I never get the iTunes message Waffles was talking about. No hourglass, no processing noises, zip. I didn't even know iTunes delt with WMA's. This is making me feel really stupid
