fujitsu laptop charging issue

i have a fujitsu laptop which when connected to the mains and switched on, smoke started to come out.

it was working fine before. now the battery is completely dead and doesnt charge, but ive used nother battery however it doesnt charge the batteries now. you can usethe laptop for how long you want as long as its connected too the mains

what could be wrong

It sounds like an internal problem with your laptop and not with the new battery.
It's possible that your laptop overheated and ruined a part internally, producing the smoke you saw earlier.
