GDHardware has a benchmark review on AMD's FX-57 and clearly shows that with the extra 200MHz taking it to 2.8GHz and enhanced memory controller the new chip gets a considerably performance boost in everyday performance and of course, gaming performance. The benchmarks also have the AthlonX2 4800+ to compare multi-threaded versus single threaded performance in games. http://www.gdhardware.com/hardware/cpus/amd/athlon64/fx57/001.htm
pretty cool, but it seems like a 6800Ultra while a '55 is a GT, not worth the money for the small performance increase, the FX 55 rests in between it and the X2 in most benchmarks considering that it is better than the 3.73ghz EE.
Very nice but yeah, not enough of a performance increase to warrent the heafty price tag, unless you overclock the heck out of it and can afford to spend that much.
but still if i was loaded id get it a thermaltake venus 12 and overclock the hell out of it, as well as give my money away on two 7800GTX's
