I just purchased StarWars Knights of the Old republic (1) at Walmart today and after 30 minutes and -4GB's later I began playing. The learning curve seemed pretty big as I'm not used to RPGs really but I created my character and picked random skills and powers anyway. Once the game started I was very overwhelmed, there were so many little icons floating around it seemed a little excessive. The control scheme seemed terrible, targeting opponents wasn't the most natural process and fighting them was a very boring ordeal for the most part. But the bottom line was I wasn't having even the least bit of fun. Switching between characters was awkward and tedious and there was just way to much micromanaging to do.
In all fairness I'm not only new to RPG's but I'm at the very beginning of the game, I'll give it more of a chance but having it randomly crash just before the next level loaded didn't help out this games appeal any. So what I'm asking is does this game really pick up and become natural and awesome or do I spend the whole time running around with a bunch of guys with little skills like opening doors ( :x: ) that I have to use all the time. I'd like to see some vehicle interaction and all but somehow I'm doubting if I'll be zooming around on a speeder bike anytime soon. Thanks for the feedback.
