Hello people.I have a prob here and i need some help.I have a pixelview geforce mx 440 installed in an old system(p2 350mhz,western digital 20Gb,m/b elite p6 bx-a+,128mb ram-100mhz,indows xp).The problem is something with graphics(or that's all i have understood).When i play games(for example need for speed:hot pursuit 2,nfs:underground,fifa 2002,fifa world cup 2002,bitchking,mohaa and lots of others-but not all of my games) i see this problem:during menus or game my screen shakes like it has been shocked and crash the system.Before somedays i saw that with pressing esc after some time the system starts again from the point it has been crash(for example the stacked car continues to move).So it's very annoying to see that.It has been over a year that i have that problem but i remember that in the first days i used the card without problems.People around told me that the problem has to do with the different voltage between the agp port and the graphic card...anyone who can help me is welcomed.Thanx.
 
You might try some different drivers and test the card out in a different machine. Your card is AGP 4x compatible at least (some are AGP 8x, but should still do 4x). I don't know your motherboard's BIOS, but the AGP speed is likely under something like "Advance Chipset Controls".
 
My card works with 2x due to BIOS limitations.The different drivers don't work.The problem here is that with my old card(viper 550-riva tnt),it works without the shakes and crashes but it can't draw all the graphics due to the oldness.
 
I came to that decision too.The difference betwen agp voltage and the graphic's card voltage make the problems.I will buy a cpu and a m/b.I've new ram but i need a psu too.thanx guys anyway.
