Gigabyte Gtx 960 4gb Causing The Monitors To Shutdown While Working

First trick depends on monitor settings, different settings for each monitor.

On Catalyst Control Center it seems to be Desktop Management, like there http://support.amd.com/PublishingImages/Support/GPU-10 Added Images/desktopproperties_1.JPG

Set manually settings. Also, reinstalling Windows and drivers often solve Windows based problems.

Sorry, I don't use Skype and also never use any instant chats on internet.

What should I change it to on Catalyst Control Center, as it is already on 60hz
I did re-install windows, and I think that's when it started to make this problem. Any particular drivers we are talking about?

Problem starts after reinstalling Windows, sounds bad. Newest AMD drivers should be OK, if not Beta.

That CCC may not be of help this time. Let's just narrow problem. Take taskbar off from secondary monitor and try if same still happens.

Done. Yes its still happening, I've also tried changing the cables around, swapping the outputs, also I tried changing the secondary monitor to be my primary, but its still doing it

Narrow problem even more. Try if that happens with HD7770 without uninstalling drivers. If yes, then it's driver or setting problem.

Ok now this is interesting... If I switch off the primary monitor and switch it back on the same thing+ happen, the secondary monitor resets. I remove the VGA cable on the primary monitor and it still happening, Any thoughts on that?

Take VGA cable off from video card (turn off computer first) and monitor, try what happens then. Card may still detect VGA cable even if disconnected from monitor.

VGA cable is not connected to the video card, I've also now upgraded to win 10 to see if that solves the issue, but still no.

And also I've tried deleting all drivers amd re installing using cd that came with it but now i cant update it to the latest drivers

We still cannot surely say if problem is in hardware or software. On hardware side, swap monitor connectors, so that primary display connector goes to secondary monitor and secondary display connector goes to primary monitor.

Also HDMI-DVI adapter may cause problems.

I change the connectors around so VGA cable and DVI cable is pluged into my secondary monitor and just an HDMI cable plugged in to my primary monitor. When I change the source on the secondary monitor from DVI to VGA to play on my ps3, its as usual working but when I change back the primary monitor with just the HDMI cable plugged in will reset as the problem continues.

I change GPU's, I put my old graphics card in there and it works perfectly without uninstalling any drivers. So I now have a feeling that it maybe the GPU

It may be GPU then. Strange because multi display environment should be very much similar. Bad thing: very hard to say if that is enough to get new card from warranty...

Contacted scan, they said its not a fault it's windows feature that is built in, for the new gpu drivers it has something called Monitor auto detection, where when one monitor is turned off or changed source, windows will detect it as it is turned off and move everything to the other monitor. Search more on the internet to fix this issue but no luck.

Also contacted Microsoft technical support to disable monitor auto detect they they can't do anything. There is an adapter you can get to stop this from happening

I guess this is the only way...

As I said earlier, design feature. Sometimes design features are very annoying.

That adapter may be only choice yes. No good luck this time.
