I can't really think of an appropriate name for this thread, the name on another site is "Graphic Chains" but I don't want to totally rip their idea :cool:.
Basically...one person designs a part of a sig, banner, avatar, template, whatever, and uploads the image, and the PSD as an attachment/provide a link to it if you can't upload for various reasons.
Then the next person downloads the document, adds something, like a render, or whatever, then uploads the new version, and so on.
It could work, or be a total disaster, so have a try :)
the end result is a piece created by everyone who took part, so a group effort:loveme:

You could of course just edit the image version, so if downloadings a problem fear not. But the PSD shows what is needed for multi-colour images.
