Graphic Showroom

its because you are saving it as a jpg. gifs preserve transparency.

what is that background image of? it looks like a ship?

Ah, right, saved it as a jpeg cause it looked a little better and was 20k smaller or so.
The background is actually alot of stuff, unfortunately I thought the same thing but those are actually telephone wires, then tehre's those pointy buildings and some random house, some tubes and the rather out of place tenticles. I got pretty much all the stuff out of the famous image with the guy in the center standing like he is on a street with a bunch of civlians covering their heads, we've all seen it.
Now it's a gif but still looks like it did?? Must be doing something wrong again, I feel like such a noob.

Lookin good! Only change I'd like to see is lightening the black line of the border where it goes through his head. Brrrrr.... real nightmare background. Good work!

Here's something I thought was kind of cool, sorry about the huge file size, it's as small as I could get it w/o degrading the quality (suggestions?):
fireanimation38vh.gif

You'll have to wait about 3+ minutes for it to load if your using dial-up, so wait for the page to load please.

Haven't posted anything new in this thread for ages (between me own site and MOH Pacific Assult it's kinda hard) so here's this:

Thanks do, glad you do, the tut's on Shattered Realms. Speaking of which you work with the renders is very impressive, I for one could never manage to keep every detail intact like that, :good:

With a tablet and stylus anybody could do it, Exfoliate.... having the right tools makes renders easy... it's no more difficult than tracing the lines of a coloring book with a pencil. Of course, it also helps to have a REALLY slow connection because it's something to do while waiting for things to load. ;)

Maybe we should have a "renders request" spot on SR where people could post images they want done. I'd be willing to work on posted images when I have time (if they aren't too nasty).

Here is my new sig. Made it quickly last night using the layer mask method and a bit of impatient grunge brushing. Added the grid pattern and some text that I thought was suitable. Scarface is a great film btw :D

looks excellent man! I'd suggest using red on the your name, as currently it looks a bit friendly (green) if you get what I mean?
