If you aren't opposed to ATI cards the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 is only $10 more on Newegg and has shown better performance over the GTS 250 in all the reviews I've read. The question is whether 3-7 FPS and DX11 is worth $10 to you. :good: Guru3d Review
no i am not opposed to ATI, I have been thinking i may just upgrade to a geforce GTX260 how does that sound. And is my 500W power supply enough for my build
ok so i have been reading about the ATI HD 5770 and i looks sweet, do u no how it compares to the Geforce GTX 260, i may just go with the 5770 for the features alone
IMO the 5770 is the best bang for your buck compared to the GTX 260. You're looking at another $30 for the GTX 260 and from what I've seen you don't gain that much. I'd go into detail, but I'm at work and the Barricuda filter keeps blocking my searches. Take a look at this comparison.
I still think the 5770 is better, but I've never actually used either. Both are good mid-ranged cards and should easily handle most FPS shooters with decent graphic settings. I'd keep looking at the reviews of both and go with my gut. P.S. - I'm a huge Nvidia fan
Ok thank you I think im going to to with the 5770 it seems to be the best buy. One last question is my 500w power supply enough to power my setup.
