    Hey all,

Ive had my 9700PRO for about a month and its been fine, but now all of a sudden once it has been on for about 10secs the screen image goes all distorted but it does not crash, i think it must be the card, but i havent had it long..any ideas?

hmm could be overheating...or could be the drivers...have you updated drivers recently? if so then roll them back and see if it helps.

all the settings are set to stock, and if i leave it for half hour then turn it on again it happens, i dont think it id the drivers as it happens in the bios screen on startup

yea i have a gforce 4 mx but the problem is it wont be using as much power i.e things like a seperate power supply source, so i dont know if that works then my ati card def has to be faulty

yeah so what you mean is the card you could replace wont be using as much power so you dont know if its the power supply that is the problem...well i'd put the other card in and see if it works, do that first...

If installing newest drivers don't work. And you're temps are fine then I'd say its a faulty card. Return it and get your moeny back, or you may be able to RMA it back to ATi.
