Re: ATI All-In-Wonder 9800 Pro 128 MB 4X AGP Graphics Card

I am thinking about getting the above graphics card, but I have been told that its software does not have digital/satellite tuning capability because it has 'card access devices that cannot be tuned outside of the receiver.'

A regular activity for me will be to record and transfer satellite television programs onto dvd with the help of this graphics card.

Is this card up to the task?

    Thanks for the advice.

I'm actually not sure, but ATi is reputed to have some of the best software in this area. On the other hand, you could buy a separate TV tuner card, like a Leadtek WinFast or MSI TV @nywhere tuner card and buy a separate video card for gaming. When you eventually upgrade to a faster video card, you'll not have to look for a new video card that has AIW or similar features everytime you upgrade.
