    Hey guys quick question,

This is the first time I have had a graphics card (BFG 8800 GTS oc2 320mb) that I can monitor the temperature on and am astounded at the temp doing nothing at idle, 54 celcius! while my CPU is at 20c and mobo at 20c and hard drives at 22c and 30c

Is this a normal temperature? What is 'safe' to go up too while playing games?

    TIA

The 8800's do run extremely hot, and to be honest, 54*C is really quite good. My 7900GS idles 59*C, with a slowdown temp of 130*C. Graphics chips seem to have a lot higher threshold for heat than other parts do, which is good, given how warm they run by default.
