i too have a intel 915gav mother board.with 80 gb hdd and 512 mb ram.3 ghz processor. On july 8 2006 it has stopped working. i mean it doesn't boot os. My monitor is in standby mode with light blinking . there is no audio beep. even if i remove the ram and startup the system. i have tried bios recovery jumper removing it and then put it various other modes . NOTHING WORKS. Although this is not the first time this has happened to me . Then i removed the battery from mother board and switched of the system for 15 days (without switching on the system for 15 days) On the 16 th day it boooted up showing cmos check sum error ( because no battery) i replaced the batterry restarted . worked just fine. i was glad to see somehting on the screen even if was a error. Is your system working now ? i mean as on 10 th july 2006 pleasse reply. My system is down
So can you clarify, have you fixed the problem yet or not? If no, can you give us some more up-to-date information
