Anyone remember Oni from Bungi software, twas a cool game. Anyway I bought the PC version off amazon and installed it, the opening movie finished and I get the weirdist error message off all time: I'm assuming the game must be hacked or somthing because unless Bill thought he'd have some fun MS had no part in this weird little message. Once the message comes up the game freezes (right after the movie, no menu or nothing) the screen goes black except for the message and when I hit ctrl-alt-delete I shows the message "damn" as a running app, I go to end it and then Oni ends too. It was really cheap but does anyone have any ideas of what is happening and how to fix it, I contacted the guy but I doubt he'll write me back. Anything at all would be apprecited. Thanks.
I'd return it to Amazon and ask for a replacement personally. If you haven't had it for too long, that is.

i think download that http://mukade.bungie.org/cgi-bin/mukade/ikonboard.cgi?;act=Attach;ID=7;f=2;t=11;p=234 and replace the oni.exe and any other files in that. might want to scan it for viruses firest.
Okay, I'm really bad when it comes to things like this, so what do I paste in the actual Oni game target? This is what the patch looks like: This is what the Oni target looks like: I think in the OniPatch CPP file it says what to include but I don't know what their getting at. It says this at the top: #include "stdafx.h" #include "onipatch.h" I'm a little confused here, sorry to be dumb but any help would be apprecited, hey it's not like I'm going to mess things up any more than they already are.
I would say take theoni patch and paste it into your c:/ Program Files/ Oni directory. If it says replace click yes.
Thanks Nic but no such luck :x: , it definately has something to do with the target and those dumb "include "onipatch" things, either that or for me to buy the figgin' XP version *grumble* *grumble*
Well good news, I've got it up and running, the origional patch was worthless, some admin posted a new one that replaced the exe and I'm all set. The game isn't as fun as a I remembered, stupid checkpoints
I never liked console controllers, the mouse is just so much more natural to me, even for a fighting game though I can see the appeal of analog controllers, but for some of those first person shooters or real time stragety games, forget it.
eyup, i just rememberd were i heard of oni lol, i have it for ps2, i got it with ym ps2, when i bought my ps2 i got gran turismo 3, oni, crazy taxi, the eternal ring and turok eveloution, lol what wierd games exept gor gt3 , oni is an unusual game, my dad lived it, i hated it, i only like gt3 and crazy out of the games.
