    see video

hdd ticking for no reason, led lights up and everything..

edit: FYI it would calm down eventually but it would click quietly, the led would stick flash the click but the hdd will sometimes "read" without flashing the led... some kind of inside-head adjustment?

i would make sure the clicking is actually coming from the HDD, and immediately backup your important files, if the clicking is coming from the HDD or try a different known working HDD & connect it as slave in order to backup yo important data

BTW: i'm assuming your data is important

that noise could very easily be a worn or misaligned fan

definately hdds, ticking is in sync with the LED flash and fans are clear
had it for a while you can even feel the clicking on the hdds, raid0 array but clicks on both hdds which is rather strange and complicated if its dying hdd

running a RAID0 setup is very dangerous because RAID0 has no "backup / parity drive" (unless you create a backup) so when a HDD fails (as you say it is) you lose the whole array, unlike with i think with RAID3 you can very easily rebuild your array by simply replacing the knacked HDD

anybody, please correct me if i'm wrong
