    Hello :) ,

I was wondering if you could help me with something...

Basically I upgraded my computer case to Corsair 650D and upgraded my cooling to Corsair H100 (push pull configuration).

When I check my system settings i.e DxDiag or MSINFO32 it shows as only having 4GB RAM installed, but when I check in CPU-Z its showing that I have 8GB. I do indeed have 8GB installed (2x4GB sticks) but there seems to be a problem with the operating system picking it up? Its Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I am using the Corsair Vengance 8GB (2x4GB) @ DDR3 1600Mhz and using the ASUS P9X79 Pro motherboard?

P.S Everything is compatible...before the upgrade to new case etc my system registered that there was 8GB installed, I've checked putting the ram in different slots too!

UPDATE: I have also flashed/updated the bios to the latest version and its still only registering 4GB on the system O/S

(Heres a pic showing the different readings: http://i50.tinypic.com/1hyu0m.jpg)

    Thanks in advance!!

Hello, thanks for the reply Ghostman 1. I have narrowed it down to being a faulty motherboard none of the memory slots on the right side work, im so confused to how CPU-Z have still picked it up though? I have tried different RAM that is known to work 100%... This is the 2nd faulty motherboard i've gone through!
