I'm planning to buy 20 inch monitor. My question - can 20 inch none wide monitor view HD DVD movies, or only wide monitor can view it? Is there any quality/compability changes/problems regards none wide screen?

    Thanks.

You need to look at the resolution of the screen. I'm assuming you are buying liquid crystal, so yes, it probably can, but it doesn't hurt to make sure. Look up the HD reslutions on google. I think the resolutions for HD are 720, and 1080 horizontally? I think for example, 1024x768 is HD, because 768 is greater than 720. Don't quote me on that, you should double check, look up the resolutions on google and match them up to the monitor you want. And of course, to watch HD DVD you need a HD DVD player- just a reminder. :)

    Hope that helped.

I don;t think you need a wide screen but it does have to do with the size of the resloution
