HD fell on the ground

    The HD can be connected to the PC with USB.However, the PC is not able to read it anymore. It can still spin. I need to extract the data from it. Can I combine a functional HD with it to try to take the data out. If so, How to? The HD is from Packard Bell.

    probably not, unless you can see the damage on the PCB (Printed Circuit Board), however, you need to determine which part is malfunctioning & preventing the HDD from being recognized by your system, if the PCB is damaged then swapping the PCB from an identical HDD could permanently fix the HDD

    Edit: although it is important that a HDD spins up, but if the damage was to the read / write heads swapping the PCB would not fix the HDD, & i think your only option would be to use a data recovery service, they usually charge by the amount of data in Gb's that they are able to recover
