Is there any medicine or something that can help me in doing this? lol I dont know why but I dont choose Ubuntu option whenever I turn on my computer. I just enter into WinXP.
just edit "C:\boot.ini" maybe just increacing the timeout from 0 (zero) to 10 (seconds) or you may need to edit the OS selection
yeah, reread it, i' got to stop skim reading stuff, but it's not that easy, thanks mega (you must be getting sick of me thanking you mega, cos those exact 6 keys (on my keyboard) are getting severly worn) anyway thanks
hi guys, i havent been around ere long but do try and visit this site afta work... been following donkey42 trying to get linux?? to work on his computer. what is this oS you people speak of? and why is it better than XP (if it is)? and do games run on it!
well for starters linux (Mandriva) is free, check this out for the popular flavours of linux linux beats XP to death with a big stick, because not only is it a :swear: load more stable and XP has more security holes than a packet of polo's but most / all versions of linux do not need antivirus, antispyware and software firewall (hardware firewall built into my broadband router) i would consider a broadband connection / router as being almost essential but its far from easy to learn linux, if anyone wanted to try linux, i would say try a mainstream version for about 6 months or a year, then choose a distribution of linux that best suits you (thats what i'm doing) as for games, WINE is a very good emulator and will probably work on linux with about 85% of all windows software linux not only runs XP over like a big truck, but then uses reverse to make sure XP can't get up also linux includes a lot or free software
