My Laptop started doing an automatic update whilst shutting down the other day, it got to stage 3 of 3 and 0% complete, it then stays like this for ages then changes to 93% complete before shutting down then restarting & being at the exact same point of stage 3 of 3 & 0% & moving to 93% & then restarting. It has done this I don't know how many times - I left it for an hour & it kept repeating the same process

Does anyone know how I can move away from this update??????? If you can help please please help put me out of my misery!
    Thanks!!

    Maybe download the update again.

If this doesnt work try and delete the update file. No doubt it sits in a temp directory somewhere.

Thanks Zeus - sadly there is nothing else on screen for me to download the update again or even acess my laptop, just the updating msg.

Do you know how I can stop the update? Or get to see another screen?

Try starting up if safe mode. Its F8, just as windows is loading up!

Are you running Vista? If so, use this guide to restore your system to a date in the past, and to prevent this from happening again.
