I keep getting the same spyware junk coming back to my comp over and over... I run spybot and get the same problems in the results and fix them and they just come back (spybot thumbnail). I run Registry Mechanic and it is no help. Doesn't find any problems. I run msconfig and Startup Control Panel and it looks like I see the culprit. Or at least one of the culprits. Notice how both of them (see thumbnails) have a strange, blank entry. Some program with no name?? That must be the f****r. So how do I find it? It looks like in the msconfig window it tells me the location of the registry key that launches it but how do I locate and remove the program itself? And by the way, how the hell does it have no name so that it just shows up as a blank entry? How's that possible?
Location is given in this picture, if you just expand it a bit more to the right hand side... Run Avast AV check in the safe mode and advare check in the safe mode as well and see if that problem appears again...
1) Install Lavasoft Adaware 2) Reboot into Safe Mode 3) Run a scan using Adaware 4) Stop using an Administrator account
