Im using the integrated graphics card that came with my HP a330n(IT SUCKS). My PS2 just broke i dont wanna waste money on another one, ill just wait for the xbox 360. But i need to play my madden no matter what, so i wus just wondering where can i get a nice 128mb or 256mb AGP 4x or 8x graphics card with at least Core clock speed of 400MHz i wanna spend from like $50 to $75 since i only need it till the 360 comes out. Thanks
Don't worry about the core speeds, even the nVidia 6800GT doesn't have a core speed of 400MHz and it still beats the higher clocked X800 Pro which is clocked somewhere in the mid 400MHz range. For your price I'd say a 9600/Pro is the best you can hope for (which clock at 400MHz btw), though you might as well just horde a little extra cash and get your self a 9600XT(it should pump the price up to at least $100 though). 9600 Pro 256MB's
why the xbox 360? The PS3 beats the living crap out of it hardware wise. I agree with exfoliate, 9600's are cheap http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102407R that doesn't look too bad
yeh i agree that the ps3 will beat xbox 360, but 360 is coming out a lot earlier, so it depends if you can wait. but the games are gonna be so insane.
Thats The Card I Was Planning On Buying But i Was Wondering If There Was Anything As Good For Cheaper. I Want The 360 Because it comes out earlier, the games that are coming out for it are going to be sick, i dont trust sony's crappy electronics anymore and it sort of looks like EA Sports is leaning a little bit more towards 360 and those are basically the games i play. My ps2 broke and why send it in for a refurbished one that probably will only last another week or two... Let Me guess your gonna talk bout the warranty, i really dont care its just a pain in the ass trying to get something fixed by sony. my friends xbox kept on freezing so they told him to send it in. they couldnt do anything about it so you know what they did they sent hime a check to go buy a new one. have you ever heard of anything like that. now thats what i call customer service
No prob Furby, let us know what you get and how it works for you. Wow, talk about customer service indeed, a real tribute to MS there at least, though they've had their own issues though, faulty cables shipped in the box for instance, that ruined a good many birthdays for sure. As for a compairable card for the same price, there's not really much better than ninja's deal, that's basically the best $67 graphics card money can buy, there's the GeForce 5700 series but they're known to be a little buggy and probably won't perform as well anyway.
one last question. whats the difference between getting an 128-bit AGP card or a 64-bit AGP card. because id like to get a card soon and dont really wanna order online (maybe newegg) but the one you guys told me bout is 128-Bit but this other more expensive less powerful one a best buy is 64-bit. whats the diff... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...t&productCategoryId=cat01151&id=1099392683579
All it's saying is the memory controller is 64-bit, compaired to 128-bit with the 9600Pro's, so basically more data can flow at one time, go with 128-bit and you'll have no regrets.
