Hey there, new to this so hope I make sense. I have a Asus motherboard with a 3.4ghz dual core cpu. 2 gig of ram and a ATi 1950pro graphics card. My monitor is a Hewlett Packard 19' wide. The other day I started up my computer and when it got to my log in screen, the screen went blank and said "input not supported", it's worked fine before so I tried again. Same thing happened. I can only open up windows in VGA mode which sucks and doesn't even recognise the monitor for what it is (it says "standard monitor" or the like). I've downloaded the drivers for the monitor, tried various Ati drivers, even reformatted my computer (it needed one anyway) but still I can't start up windows normally, it still says "input not supported". Its getting on my nerves now and any help would be greatly appreciated!!! thank you
Oh yeah one fruther thing, when I unistall all teh Ati drivers It can start up normally in svga 32bit etc etc. But again I have NEVER had any problems like this before.... Adn teh graphics card is only about 3 weeks old
well its sounds like you've found your problem there, and ATI has been known to have real weird driver issues, so i would definitely say its a driver issue. Ether find an older graphics driver, make sure you have the latest one, or find a driver made by some third party.
