Hi. Welcome to the forums! Win98 was probably the best Win9x OS but any 9x OS isnt good! On top of that Microsoft dont support that OS anymore either. The next Windows OS that will work good is Win2000. Its far better! Though Microsoft dont support that anymore either. I think they do the odd security update but officially its dead. XP might be ok but it depends on your system. You can run it on 9x era machines but you might not be able to run the pretty blue menus very well. A lot of people here will say go with Linux if you want to keep the machine your running now. I only stopped using my 450mhz CPU, 256 RAM machine recently, and for no real reason why either.
