how long until upgrade

    As a gamer i want to know (as far as processors go)how much upgrade free time i would have with buying the Athlon 3000+(socket 939) This is assuming i buy the newest games at the time.

    That should last several years, assuming you keep a half-way decent video card in there. Yes, the CPU is important, but for gaming, the video card tends to be more important. The next thing that would follow would look at how much RAM you have.
