    Well, how much?
Try to include everything that makes up your computer, not just the computer itself
    (if it's custom built).

    More than $2,000
    Between $1,500 and $2,000
    Between $1,000 and $1,500
    Between $750 and $1,000
    Between $500 and $750
    Less than $500
    It was free
    Which One?

Me, all up, over a about a year iv'e spent Roughly $1700 (+/- $20) AUD.
That's including Speakers, monitor, all hardware, fans/heatsinks, lights, case, modem and cables. The computer itself is about $1200.
My Linux computer cost $20 and my little server cost $5 from the dump!

Edit: Please move thread to General Chat, i was going to make a different thread in The War Zone, just not this one :)

My old computer was originally bought for £1060, it was a Duron 800. Then my black AXP 2700 box cost all in all about £500, i got a free monitor.
    My laptop cost £625.

I got this thing back in November 2003, it cost £900, I've put some more stuff in it recently though, New PSU, Cooling, Graphics Card, DVD-Burner, Case, Lights etc etc, that's probably another £250
so overall about £1150 I'd say, but then again when I was putting the new stuff in, it was still an 'old' computer at heart :p

Well, my main box got a major upgrade this year, and that totaled a little over $700. Add in the drives, monitor and perpherials, it's easily $1k.

I bought my PC bit by bit.
    Initialy I spent a tad under £300.
Keyboard, mouse, speakers and monitor are on loan from work.

Since then I got a newer PSU and a new CPU cooler. So it took my spending to around £350.
By the end of this year I would have liked to get a new case and RAM which should round it all up to around £450.

Origionally I spent about $900 or so on the computer itself, mouse and keyboard. I got my monitor and speakers free and later I spent about $150 extra on more ram and a new PSU, so yeah over all around $1050ish. Of couse now computers with specs equivalant to my origional specs are selling on Ebay for $500 which is a little depressing.

£300 for parts. Then got free keyboard and monitor. Spent about a tenner on my mouse, £40 on case. Everything else was used off my old pc which we paid £1000 for at the time.

Hard to say, but I'm thinking over the course of a couple years this sytem has cost me between 1000 and 1200 including monitors, speakers, mouses, keyboards and such. I've been through quite a bit of hardware on it.

In total...probably around $2000 CAN. I've upgraded the video card probably three times, mobo/ram/cpu about twice. I'm a sucker for new PC parts, they're just so shiny! :p

My main rig originally cost me about 1200-1300 USD (Not including speakers). By now, I figure I've probably spent about 1500 total. My test rig cost me just over $300. But that's because instead of a monitor, keyboard or mouse, I bought a KVM switch. Also, AT donated a stick of 512 RAM and a Thermaltake 420 W psu. I probably would've spent $500 otherwise. My firewall cost me a total of $10 because I bought 2 used $5 computers and combined the best parts to make what I now use.
