how to enable usb without bios?

    hi all :)





    this is the thing in pref . i want to enable usb keyboard and mouse from dos without logging into dos because i cant inter dos that's it .

    the main mother board is msi MS-7236 (945PL Neo) bios Ver. 5.2

    If you can't enter the BIOS with a USB keyboard until you've turned on legacy USB keyboard support, you'll have to borrow a PS2 keyboard long enough to make the change. Sorry, can't think of another option.

    what if the ps2 tokes isn't working?

    Well, then you're in a tricky situation. You could try resetting the CMOS with the onboard jumper, hoping that the default setting for legacy USB is on.

    The last trick up my sleeve is to try a "Live Update" BIOS update from Windows, and hope the default for the latest BIOS revision is to have Legacy-USB support enabled. Otherwise, I can't think of a single other thing to do. If that doesn't work you might have to pick up a new motherboard. :(

    I've had good luck with Abit, Asus and Gigabyte. Of those, Gigabyte is probably the best value, Abit's the most reliable, and Asus the best performing.
