I couldn't access this forum throughout Thursday and this morning. I am pretty sure my company has blocked access due to my frequent visits I receive a time out error when I try use browse HWF and the RSS Feed fails to load! They haven't got the better of me though - I'm using a free web proxy server to browse this site right now  It's called DZZT and although it's a little slow, it does the job!
Im surpirsed our school havn'y blocked it they block everything else we go on...so we made our own prxy to access sites through
My college bocked hardware forums, but i can still load the main page, then access threads from the main page lol, i just cant go into the forums hehe now i can go on everyhting with that DZZT
Guess I need to take down all those topless pics of myself down... It may not be on purpose, as sometime's blocking something like hardcore might've taken it to the extreme. It could be a glitch.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean? Basically this is how it works: 1)My computer (in the coporate LAN) visits DZZT. 2)I enter a webpage into DZZT's address box 3)DZZT browses the internet and fetches the webpage for me. Even though I've been browsing Hardware Forums, as far as my internal network is concerned, I never left DZZT's website! This process hides your computer's IP address. So anyone who tries to look for it will see DZZT's address instead.
Don't take away my reason for coming to this forum Something must have happened over night because I can browse HWF without the proxy now
I use a proxy using CGI on a server, I put a .htaccess simple password protection in place to stop staff from seeing the proxy.
If your having problems with proxies getting blocked (including the ones you set up) just sign up the peacefire mailing list. I get an email every 3 or 4 days with a new CGI proxy url in it! Allthough the sites do get blocked, i have allways been sent a new one before the block the old one! If your worried you might get into trouble for recieving emails from peacefire.org, just sign up to the mailing list with a gmail account and set up rules to forward the emails from the to your school/work.
I shouldn't be providing this info, but if you were to look here while my back was turned, you might find something that can pass through even the mightiest of content filters.
