It appears that I've lost the metal brackets that I had that came with my Antec computer case. They're the brackets that can be attached to CD/DVD roms, floppy drives, etc so that the drive can then be slid into the metal casing inside my case. I attached those 2 thumbnails to show you what I mean. So how do I get new ones? I bought a DVD burner, and now I can't put it in. I don't know the model of my case anymore -- it's been so long since I've bought it. Are those brackets like that pretty universal? I haven't seen them for sale any time I went to ordinary computer/electronics stores... Is the Antec company my only solution?? Thanks
I'd think your best bet is to find a local OEM builder they are likely to have a few lying about, never seen them for sale, at least not for many years, i'm sure i have a box full somewhere - or find someone who just got a brand new comp, they tend to come with too many nowadays. Note that they tend to be either the pinch to remove type (like the ones you need) or can be simple screw replacements - that you still have to have the sides of the case off to attach.
