I need new software

I have been doing alot of designing on Microsoft Picture It I about matsered everthing I can do on there. what would be a good graphic design program to get. Maybe a dumb question but, is there any free ones to download?

You could try GIMP. It's an open source alternative to photoshop.

I already have Adobe photo Deluxe 2.0, and Ulead Photo Express 4.0


Are they alot different

Gimp is an excellent program and its free.

I personally don't like it becase of the layout of things, but it is almost PS7.

if i was you id really try to get phooshop as ive got on gimp and photoshop. now don't get me wrong gimp a wicked program and especially its free! but photoshop as more fetures and a generally better (user friendy) interface. if your interested in 3d work anim8or would be a good free! program to use you can download it from www.anim8or.com. hope this helps Dave. :good:

I myelf find GIMP harder to use than Photoshop but its probably just because I'm used to PS. i'm sure GIMP is very good if you can get the hang of it.
