Ive pretty well know what im gonna but... but im still unsure about a video card.

Im really short on money, if I get the Thermaltake Im gonna have to get a £50 card.... which I really dont wanna do.

    Here are my options.....
    Leadtek ti4200 dx8 64mb...... £70
    MSI GeForce FX 5600TD dx9 128MB £120
    Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 dx9 128MB £92
    PowerColor Radeon 9600 Pro dx9 128MB £125
    Gainward GeForce4 Ti4800 dx8? 128mb £110

I wanna spend as little as possible... thats why the Ti4800 looks good for £110....but then I look at the 9600pro for only £15 more! But the 9600 is only £90...

    I need help! :)

The Ti4800SE and the 9600 Pro are pretty much neck and neck in performance under DX8. For the sake of the future, you'd be better off getting the 9600/Pro since it's got DX9 hardware support on it and the Ti4800SE does not. The GFFX cards all have DX9 stuff as well. IF that FX 5600 is an Ultra, it'll be a pretty decent card. IIRC, the only difference between the 9600 and the 9600 Pro is the Pro is clocked faster.

The MSI 5600 card is not the ultra. The Ultra is £180!

Looks like its gonna be a standard 9600! It would just be a mistake getting a dx8 card really.
Its gonna get overclocked anyway so....

    cheers!
