    Hi,
I have this P3 based Compaq Presario 7500 running Win XP (SP2) with 256MB Ram. I am curious if i put a 160gb HD(IDE) in this system, will it work to full storage capacity????

personally i'd try borrowing a 160Gb HDD first, however, to find out i'd need the actual motherboard manufacturer & the motherboard revision number (Ver) printed on the actual board, hang on a minute, try installing PCWizard, Everest, or Techfacts XP 2.6

personally i prefer PCWizard, but, i suspect your BIOS is limied to a maximum capacity of 137Gb, however, 137Gb would be visible / usable if you installed a 160Gb drive, so, you could resize the partition after you upgrade
