Just got a new mobo and computer

its a microatx motherboard from gigabyte with only 1 IDE slot...so it can support up to 2 IDE devices.

Thats fine because I only have an IDE Hard drive and dvd drive.

But my IDE Cables cannot reach both.... they are coming up short :(

    Ideas?

well you will need to get a longer one like this

BTW: if your HDD is ATA66k, ATA100 or ATA133, you should get an IDE cable with 80 connectors CD / DVD drive are fine on an old ATA33 cable because a CD / DVD are much slower than HDDs & both cables work perfectly well on either cable, and if you want good airflow you should get a round cable like i posted

i usually buy stuff from misco or novatech

[ot]if you get 1 from misco use the 3 day delivery option and 9 times out of 10 it will arrive the next day or in 2 working days[/ot]
