IDE/SATA conflict?

    i currently have a ide hard drive in my computer and i plan to buy another internal one. if the new is sata will there be a conflict?

    As long as your Computer supports both SATA and IDE...There will be no conflict between them. You can use both of them and to set the Master drive, you have to prioritise from BIOS...Set the HDD on number 1 on which you wants to install win ;)

    no, as Karan said, but you will need a SATA controller, unless you already have one

    Oh! how did i forgt that thing to write.....that a PCI SATA controller card will do if you dont have inbuild sata controller. But again, you should have a SATA supporting mobo...
