heres my problem (zonealarm is on) 1. i start firefox,the homepage is www.google.com 2. it says please check the name and try again 3. i disable zonealarm n restart firefox,n it works fine 4. next i get some internet explorer windows poppin up (ive actually uninstalled windows IE) 5. when im off the net,i suddenly there is a process in my system called iexplore.exe 6. it starts suddenly n turns off after a few seconds.. 7. ive had this problem before,i ran some antispyware stuff..n solved the problem,but it keeps on coming whenever i use the internet..
Have you tried AdawareSE and Spybot S&D? You should also get a good Anti-Virus and do a thorough scan. A second opinion never hurts. Once you've done all that, I recommend getting a better browser. IE has abysmal security, and it isn't very standards-compliant anyway. All the best, -AT
yeah i tried adware & spybot..and i dont use IE,i use firefox1.0.6..as i said ive uninstalled IE,thru the add/remove - windows components..but i guess IE never really gets uninstalled...
No, IE is integrated in the Windows GUI, so you can never be rid of it without switching OSes. Sorry, I didn't notice that you said you were using Firefox, good show with that.
