I still have this problem. Right, i have a dragonet 56k voice modem with all the latest drivers etc and there doesn't seem to be a problem in the daytime but at around 8 pm it begins to disconnect. Just before it disconnects the browser/game or whatever i am doing freezes for about five seconds then a message pops up saying : "You have ignored an incoming call. Press the ok button" Then if i try to reconnect it shows this message about one minute later every time so my evening use of the internet is gone! I really need a way to fix this because it is a big problem. (I am connected to freeserve anytime) Looking forward to replies. Regards Matt
Firstly I'd check that no one is phoning you at the time. Although that shouldn't come up with a message. Then I'd give Wanadoo a call and ask what's up.
No one is phoning trust me. It happens like non-stop all night! I guess i'll have to phone wanadoo then. 50p a minute....great!
I did email them and they gave me some instructions on how to add something to the modem iniatiation commands or sumfin,if this dont make sesne blame the beerr i juts saw newcastlw lose
Right, now im sober "Thank you for your email. If your modem is set-up for the V92 standard, and disconnects after displaying 'You have ignored an incoming call message', you will need to reset the modem to the V90 standard. You can do this by adding the string AT+MS=90 into your modems settings. To do this, the instructions below should help: Open the 'Control Panel' and select 'Phone and Modem'. Click the 'Modem' tab and highlight your 'Modem'. Click 'Properties' and then select the 'Advanced' Tab. From here, you should see an 'Initialisation Command' field. Enter AT+MS=90 into this field and then click 'OK'. This should stop the modem from disconnecting. If you continue to experience problems, please contact your vendor for further support. If you have any further queries then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us again." * * * * * * * * * * * Seems to have worked so far but i'll just have to wait and see
