Although you probably didn't notice I was gone for 2 days I'm @ uni now, it's really cool, I'm staying in an amazing place wth some really cool people - there's a big grassy courtyard outside in the central square of the place where we're staying and we decided to all hang out there on the first night and drink beer, was good. Indeed all is fine - I've got my timtable for the nex few days and things start properly next week There's 4 modules I'll be studying: Foundations of Computer Science, Programming in C, Information Systems & Development, Web Interface Development, The Computer Science, Software Engineering, Internet Computing and A.I. & Robotics people will be studying the same modules for the first year as it's all closely related at first. Should be good this week I have various talks and stuff on the Uni and I have a computer-related one entitled "Using UNIX" which should be cool
Welcome back, Matty! So you're doing Computer Science, huh? That's what I'm planning on doing for university. Thinking of a general Computer Science degree, and then I'll specialize further (though in which direction, I'm not sure). Good on you! Do keep us posted as to how your courses are going, as I'd be interested to hear what kind of stuff they have you doing for ComSci.
Well I'm actually studying Internet Computing but the reason all 4 groups are together / doing the same modules for the first year is because it's all closely related and it means I can switch to a different course of the 4 more easily if I don't like the sound of mine. Will keep you posted
I've found out my timetable - at 2pm today (currently 1:10pm) I've got a 'Foundations of Computer Science' lecture which should be fun Then after that it's 'Information Systems and Database Development' Computer Lab session *fun fun fun*
