I'm back!

I've got F@H installed on my laptop - hopefully the Dual Core CPU and 2GB of DDR2 RAM will get me some points. I stopped running F@H on my old computer because it crashed it and ran rather slow.

I won't run it 24/7 though because I don't want my shiney new baby to get all stressed out just yet

Can I run two instances? How would I go about that?

 

You'd need to have two F@H folders and start both up.

Something like

C:\FaH1
C:\FaH2

If you want the instances to start up, just put them in the startup folder or check the F@H FAQ for a link about setting F@H up as a service.

 

Ahh cool - would they both work on different WU's then rather than the same one?

I am installing an IPCop firewall soon and happened to notice a F@H addon for it. Seen as this server will be on 24/7 it looks like I will be at the top of the lists

 

I have 2 instances running - one assigned to each core - each core is now @ 100% so I'll see how my laptop handles it as I don't want to pound it constantly.
