Hmm. -sigh- I mentioned before I was running into a pretty big lump of money for an unemployed teenager. I did. Then I spent it I was going to get some more ram and possibly a system overhaul. Though, I needed a new drumset ! Well I didn't really need one because I have an electric set I wanted an acoustic. My drum teacher last week told me about a drumset that was for sale at an extremely reasonable price, I couldn't pass it up. My computer will forgive me. WEE! Pearl Prestige Session Select 4-piece with a piccolo snare. Snare is a weird one, about 14", around 1.5" to 2" deep. Now for the weird part, only the heads touch the shell. No drilled holes, or even contact other than the heads can't remember what that's called because pearl has some line of snares like that but it's really ear-piercing! Cymbals, sabian aax studio hats, sabian aax stage ride, Zildjian Oriental trashy china, 2zildjian projection crashes, one tiny little wuhan...I don't know what the hell it is but it's cute and has a bright white noise. Iron Cobra double bass pedals, I've always wanted a pair <3! I set it all up, played for an hour straight. My speaker amp's heatsink burns my fingers and it's over 87farenheit in my room
bet your neighbors, not to mention family, love you then sweaty drummer ninja disturbing the peace at 3am local time. from my (extremely) low knowledge of percussion instruments, they look very nice!
Nice and unconventional setup ya got there, ninja. I really should take pics of mine at some point when my digi cam is properly setup.
I can't play at 3am sadly my neighbors do call the police. family doesn't mind, they've gotten used to it. thanks guys
You should hear me at 3am pounding on the drum kit with massivly heavy sticks or hitting the beer keg with a steel pole!
Nice one NF, I can' blame ya dude, you've already got a pc, but no acoustic drum set, I'd say you took the right route. I always wanted to learn the drums but nobody around my area could teach me. Either that or bass guitar, with only 4 strings how hard could it be. (sounds damn cool too).
hehe the clown, #6, slipknot, shawn crahan..custom percussion for him involves head banging into a metal keg....quality
actually I find bass easy to play, hard to master. It's very hard slapping and popping through a whole song talk about a hand excersize! you can get basses up to 6 string and possibly beyond I've never seen past 6 though. i've been pumping so much juice through my speaker amp, it's actually overheated and stopped! lucky I rigged up some mad 80mm cooling since it's right next to my pc ! I need to take a break my ears hurt
