Well... im not sure if anyone noticed, but I am the man! Look at how much I'm rocking up on everybody! Ok... really though - Im not the man, but i am happy about how well Im doing in Folding. I think its sad that we're a team but still competing with eachother. I guess that's what makes it fun though, eh?

Yeh i noticed you've got on average 374.5 points per WU..

and the reason behind your success? - Your memory timings :good:

Folding @ Home LOVES tight timings and custom linux kernals - its why yourself and AT are doing so well :)

I've started folding on 1 machine again now..

I have 59 WU's and like 3000 points LOL! - reason for this is i've run F@H on tones and tones of 233Mhz-450Mhz PCs :good:

It's nice to have abit of competition :) keeps it all going, but at the same time its all for a good cause :) - I've never really had my AMD64 fold, had it run for 3 WU's had about 230Points per WU, but that was with single channel GeIL Value, i now have Dual Channel PC4400 GeIL Ultra

"What do you compete in? Basketball, football?"
    "I fold."
    "Laundry isn't a sport."
"Err...I run a distributed computing program on my computers. *pushes up glasses*"
    "Brain overload!"

Lol folding its the sport for geeks. Apart from table tennis. Table tennis is cool. Especially with a top side spin which starts the ball veering off course as soon as it hits the table. Then its totally unpredictable for your opponent...

    I've just managed to get:
    1T 2-3-3-5
    1:1 CPU:DRAM @ 220Mhz
    LDT: x5

So not bad :) nice timings for PC4400 anyway..

i'll push it further once my new case arrives :D then i might start folding :p... might..

Yeah, i have it pretty good as far as my setup goes... A gig of Xtra low latency [2-2-2-5] RAM Dual channeled in a custom kernal combined with my 64-bit 3500.

And i've been looking around for ANY other computers to Fold on... like pathetic computers from thrift stores (we have a thrift store around here that sells *any* computers for $5). I just like having computers, even if they suck!

Me too. I want as many computers as I can find. I'll just take it apart and use it to decorate my room.

woohoo! I just went to the thrift store, and for $25 bought a old [of course] 486. Its running windows 98 right now and actually seems work fine considering the age. Im going to format and install some version of linux so that it'll run a little smoother.

gaaah I wish I could buy cheap pc's. They're so fun to screw around on! Even if they aren't worth a damn outside of the world of firewalls, routers.

Exactly! Even if it sucks, its going to be fun to work on... and I might just end out giving it to someone for a firewall.

Old PCs are crap so they use little power and make great firewalls, routers and platforms for testing new stuff.

nic how did you make a keyring out of an old CPU? (by the guide) they're mostly ceramic based, not organic compound so they need a diamond drill bit.
