I need some advice on a new sound card. I got a standard one at the moment but as you would expect it doesn't work with my 5.1 speakers. What cards would you advise to get, at a reasonable price?
I am looking to play most recent games with it and play music when im programing or website editing, what you think is best?
    Thanks in advance.

Most 5.1 supporting sound cards will be fine unless you're into home recording. Cards like the Audigy from Creative, as well as Logitech ones are good. It all depends on your budget, you should be able to get a good card for under £40.

uhoh, I wouldn't recommend PC World. I've worked there on work experience, and came back from the job desensitised to their phenomenally high prices. You're better off getting them from savastore, microdirect, dabs or ebuyer. The VAT off is unlikely to be better than a cheaper product overall.

I've been fine with them as i know a guy who works with them. I've helped buy for a few businesses over the past year and they've been fine. And anyway i just found on my main suppliers website he sells the logitech one so happy days!
    Thanks again
