Anyone seen this? I started watching on Youtube ad Ive hd to buy the boxset off Ebay because I really like it. Its about drift racing.
I've read a few volumes of the manga and I really enjoy it. For the most part, I'm only interested in manga such as Naruto or Bleach, but Initial D has great art, an interesting story, and is decently exciting. Haven't seen the show, though. I read much more anime than I watch. I do quite like Escaflowne, though. Anyone seen it?
Yup. It was okay, but it's also partially targeted at girls. If it was targeted at boys, you'd have seen panty shots and jiggling on Hitomi's part.
Targetted at girls?! Indeed! Well, I guess it's better than some manga that I saw for sale at Chapters. Man, that stuff was...I'll not get into it.
Anime and manga have a wide range of audience targets. You've got everything from Pokemon crowds to, uh, tentacle rape monster hentai (aka anime porn). You'll also notice a wide variation between the art styles, as you would notice with American animation and comics. I have noticed that the Japanese tend to do a real sharp job on mechanical objects. I'm not into racing of any sort, so Initial D doesn't grab me. However, they do a pretty nice job on the cars from the little I've seen.
