Hi, I haveaInno3d Geforece fx5900. I bought i about a month and a half ago, no for the past 2 days at randdom times i get this weird sound as if the fan is getting stuck. Anyway, now my idle video card tem (GPU temp) is hitting something like 72 (all of case on) and yesterday it was 50 (with one side of the case removed). With the case open i was getting a 60-65 while playing 3d apps (i.e rainbow six 3) but when i tried KOTOR it hit 105 C and thats when i really got scared (I alt-tab'ed to windows to check the temp while in game and use the Gforce properties to check the temp). Is this normal? Sys specs: Operating System: Windows XP Professional ( BIOS: Award Medallion BIOS v6.0 Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1700MHz Memory: 512MB RAM[/SIZE]
105*C? If it's *C for sure and not *F, you have some cooling issues. I'm not quite sure what the average temp is for the 5900, but I'm very sure that 105*C is way too damn hot.
