    Hi,
My motherboard decided that all four SATA sockets wouldnt play ball with my SATA bootable HD, (dual boot Win2K/WinXP_home), and trying my PCI IDE/SATA card saw the PC functional again, even reading one of the two storable SATA HD's from one of the Mbd SATAs !...albeit with an irritating popup UtMsgAgt Read event from driver failed every 8 seconds  , initiated e.g. if I launched IE, or a music CD launched the player, yet processes worked eventually.

Pissed off with this, I have put an Acronis True Image Home 11 tib file backup of my WinXP back on the PC. (great prog, used such without problems up till now). This was made in the days when the Boot HD used a sata socket on the M'bd.

Booting the PC after this install sees NTLDR is missing, Press Ctrl +Alt +Del message when boot looks to the HD

    What's the solution ?

    Help ! :(
