Installed New Ram, Video Card Not Recognized?

I have my own custom built rig and I just bought 4gb of ram. I took out my old ram (2x1gb), and put in the new ram (2x2gb). I then started up my computer, and the resolution was different. Some other things were different about the display, but I was able to change them all back. Then I realized that when I right clicked on my desktop I did not see the Nvidia control panel. I have a 9800GT graphics card. I tried running any of my games and none of them would load. My monitor is directly plugged into my graphics card... I also went into the device manager and my graphics card is not listed there. I also went to the monitor tab of the display settings and the graphics card was not listed there either. I tried installing the latest 9800GT drivers and it would not let me because it said that I do not have the hardware installed. When I try running 1 of my games, it even says: This game does not support your video card. etc.

All of these games worked fine before I upgraded my RAM, but now they do not. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

re-seat the graphics card see if that helps. also try the add new hardware wizard, see if detects your card. your card obviously works other wise your system wouldn't post. just strange how it doesn't list the card in device manager.

Check to see if in the bios onboard video is enabled

If its enabled, it will still show the screen through the card but not recognize it.
